Wood County reports 257 new COVID cases since Monday

Wood County has reported 257 new COVID cases and four more hospitalization since Monday, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.

That brings the total for the county to 18,843 cases, 269 deaths, and 831 hospitalizations from COVID.

Wood County is seeing an average of 64 new COVID cases each day, and is now at 346 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, keeping the county in the high transmission range.

During the last two weeks, the 649 new COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show that all areas of the county are affected. The highest number of cases in the last two weeks were reported in Perrysburg, 228; Bowling Green, 147; Northwood, 48; Walbridge, 28; Rossford, 28; Pemberville, 24; North Baltimore, 21; Millbury, 19; Luckey, 17; Fostoria, 16; Weston, 15; and Rudolph, 10.

Several schools in the county have reported recent cases of COVID. The report issued Nov. 18 gave an update of cases, including:

  • BG City Schools, 9 students, 1 staff.
  • Eastwood, 14 students, 1 staff.
  • Lake, 7 students, 2 staff.
  • Northwood, 1 student, 0 staff.
  • Otsego, 2 students, 2 staff.
  • Perrysburg, 12 students, 3 staff.
  • Penta, 7 students, 0 staff.
  • Rossford, 7 students, 2 staff.
  • St. Rose School, 1 student, 0 staff.
  • Wood County Educational Service Center, 1 student, 0 staff.
