The man wanted for attempted murder and aggravated burglary in Bowling Green was arrested Friday by U.S. Marshals in his Indiana home.
Tyson Lynndale Wells, 44, of Bloomington, Indiana, is being held in a Monroe County, Indiana, jail.
“Because he had a felony warrant in Indiana, he’ll probably be processed there before coming back to Ohio,” Bowling Green Police Lt. Adam Skaff said this morning.
On April 26, Bowling Green Police Division responded to 1017 S. Main St. after receiving a report of a male who had slashed several tires on a vehicle. While responding to that location, reports about shots being fired at 1039 Varsity West were also received.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the incidents were related. The resident at 1039 Varsity West stated that Wells had attempted to enter the apartment. The resident confronted Wells, at which time Wells allegedly discharged a firearm into the apartment. No one was struck by the gunfire.
Wells then reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored pickup truck. That pickup was later found in Fremont, where Wells has family, Skaff said.
