Ryan D. Kerns, 42 of Luckey, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his home with his wife at his side. He was born January 15, 1980 to Larry and Kathy (Fluck) Kerns, in Columbus, OH. Following graduation from high school Ryan in 1998 enlisted in the United States Army. He served in multiple overseas deployments , later retiring from the Army in 2016.
On December 15, 2018 he found love for a second time and he married Amy M. Mason in Luckey, OH. Ryan and Amy blended their families having 4 children among the two of them, and have celebrated 4 years of marriage together.
Ryan worked at NSG in Luckey as a Production Supervisor. He was an avid sports fan including the Ohio State Buckeyes and particularly all things Cleveland. He enjoyed golfing and coaching his children’s softball and baseball teams. Ryan remained a very proud Army Veteran. However, out of all his joys, it was his family especially his children that brought him the greatest happiness.
In addition to his wife Amy, Ryan is survived by his children: Kylie Kerns, Kaleb Kerns, Brady Mason and Aubrey Mason. Mother; Kathy Kerns, stepmother; Becky Kerns, sisters: Kacey (Shaun) Flanigan and Kisha Walker. He was preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends will be received from 3 – 7 p.m., on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Ryan will be laid to rest at a graveside service 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, OH.
