Russell William Kieffer, 69, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away March 8, 2023. He was born July 10, 1953 in Bowling Green to the late William and Jane (Nelson) Kieffer. He married Sharon Rockey on September 28, 2004 and she survives in Bowling Green.
Rusty was a 1971 graduate of Bowling Green High School and went on to attend college at BGSU. He was born and raised on the 4th generation family farm and spent many years planting, harvesting and raising animals. He especially enjoyed raising horses which his family would show all over the country. Rusty’s greatest joy was his golden retriever Rose and three furry cats Buttons, Snuggles and Boo Boo. He worked construction for several years and spent the last 6 years working part-time as a site evaluation manager for Buck Brothers Concrete.
Rusty owned and operated Dixie Driving Range in Bowling Green for the last 29 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Riverview Senior Golf League and BG Country Club Senior Golf League. He always looked forward to his Thursday golf outings with Dr. Wojo, Jimmy Cranker, Dave Russell and Joe Helm.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Kieffer and sister-in-law Susan Rockey.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Tuesday March 14, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
