JR Corbin Vance , 69, of Haskins, Ohio died November 4, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. JR was born February 28, 1947 in Findlay, Ohio to Clarence Sr. and Lucille (Donaldson) Vance. On June 15, 1968 he married Becky (Baumbarger) in Haskins.
JR proudly served in the US Army 101rst Airborne Division in Vietnam. He was a qualified parachutist. He was a member of many veterans associations including the American Legion in Whitehouse, Ohio, the AMVETS and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Bowling Green and the Eagles in Bowling Green. JR was also an avid camper with his family.
Mr. Vance is survived by his wife Becky, his sons Travis (Jennifer) and Troy (Wendy) Vance, his grandsons Skylar, Cody, Zach, Xander, Nikolas and Reid, his sisters Barbara (Richard) Seggerson, Carol Winover, Tammy (Jerry) Weaver, Beverly Reynolds and Tina, his brothers Robert and Kenneth Donaldson,Clarence (Billy) Vance Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents Lucille and Gordon Donaldson and Clarence Sr and Selina Vance and his brother Glenn.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation Tuesday November 8, from 4 to 8 pm at the Peinert Dunn Funeral Home, 18620 Washington St. Tontogany, Ohio. He will have a private family graveside service where the US Army will render military honors. Memorial donations are encouraged a charity of the donors choosing.
