Lotus, the 2-year-old lab mix is back at the Wood County Dog Shelter looking for a home. She was returned because her owner moved and could not take her with him.
“She is a little nervous when you first meet her, but warms up quickly and becomes your best friend,” Wood County Dog Warden Jodi Harding said.
Lotus does well with most dogs, but will need to meet any dog before going home with them, the shelter advised. She loves to play fetch, and play in her pool during the day. Lotus does not like to share her food, so the shelter is suggesting older kids would be best for her. She is spayed, heartworm negative and up to date on her vaccines.
The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed. The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
