Raymond Bechstein, 85, of Weston, Ohio passed away Friday, November 4, 2016.
Raymond was born in Weston, Ohio to the late John and Jessie (Pultz) Bechstein. Raymond married the love of his life June Mooney on June 8, 1956 and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2011.
Raymond is survived by daughters: Jacki (Dale) Bailey of Weston; Conni (Jim) Grames of Weston; Shelli (Dan) Morlock of Pemberville; sons: Dale (Teresa) Bechstein of Bowling Green; Dean (Bev) Bechstein of Weston; sister: Helen Wilhelm of Custar; brother: Loren Bechstein of Bowling Green; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, and wife, Raymond was preceded in death by his sons: Edward and Roger; brothers: John; Perry, Newton, Carl, Ira, Ivan, George; sisters Estella, Emma, and Ida.
Raymond proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the Army, where he served in the Medical Corp. Raymond was a member of the Weston American Legion Post 409, the VFW Post #1148 of Bowling Green, the National Tractor Pullers Association and the Rural Grain of Weston. He enjoyed reading a good book, the newspaper and playing solitaire. Raymond’s true passion was farming. He was a hard worker and loved his family dearly.
Visitation for Raymond will be held on Friday November 11, 2016 from 2:00 until the time of his Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 PM, where Military Honors will be rendered in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St,. P.O. Box 648 Bowling Green, Ohio.
Memorial Contributions in Raymond’s honor may be given to Weston American Legion Post 409, 12690 Potter Rd., Weston, Ohio 43569.
