Zachary S. Widmer, 39 of Los Angeles, CA, and formerly of Pemberville, OH passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024. He was born on April 6, 1984 to Neil and Lexie (Sexton) Widmer in Bowling Green, OH. He later was a 2002 graduate of Eastwood High School. Zachary went on to serve his nation in the United States Army National Guard, and was later called up to active duty and served one year in Iraq during the war. He later received an Honorable Discharge.
Zachary worked in various capacities throughout the years. Nevertheless, he always remained a proud Army Veteran. He was an avid sports fan, and when in high school accelerated in track, football, and baseball. Zach, enjoyed writing poetry, and was often encouraged to publish his work. However, a favorite past-time was just hanging out with his friends.
Zachary is survived by his parents: Neil and Lexie Widmer of Bowling Green. Sister, Kelli (Ron) Stoudinger of Fremont, and brother, Nelsson (Penny) Widmer of Wayne. Nieces and nephews: Raquel, Tomas “TJ,” Elizabeth, Cindy, Makayla, and AJ.
The family will host a public visitation, to be announced at a future date.
