Bowling Green Police were called to three different bars over the weekend to help with highly intoxicated patrons who wouldn’t leave or who caused damage in the establishment.
On Saturday (11/2) around 1:48 a.m., police were flagged down by bar staff in the 100 block of North Main Street, for a man who was reportedly intoxicated and incoherent. When approached by officers, he reportedly yelled at them, refused to show his identification, and allegedly tried to spit on officers.
Police arrested Kleiston Bonnell, 19, Toledo, and charged him with disorderly conduct/intoxication, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and underage under the influence.
Bonnell was taken to Wood County Hospital to be medically cleared before being taken to Wood County Jail. According to the police report, Bonnell reportedly tried to kick medical staff at the hospital.
On Sunday (11/3) around 2:20 a.m., police were called to another bar in the 100 block of North Main Street, after a sign inside the establishment was reportedly broken by a patron. Police were able to contact the man the next day, and cited him for criminal mischief. He reportedly did not recall breaking the sign.
Later on Sunday (11/3) around 6 p.m., police were called to the bar area of an establishment in the 1000 block of North Main Street, for an unresponsive woman at the bar. The woman was arrested for disorderly conduct/intoxication, and being unable to care for herself. She was taken to Wood County Jail.
