The Wood County Veteran Service Commission, in partnership with the Wood County Board of Commissioners, is moving the Veterans Service Office to a new, more accessible location at 1940 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green.
Staff will be available to assist veterans at the new office starting on Monday, Dec. 2.
The new office will be situated within a county owned and operated building that offers first-floor access, ample space, and improved parking to better serve veterans and their families. This move is consistent with the Veteran Service Commission’s commitment to improve accessibility and enhance the quality of services provided to the veteran community.
The Wood County Veteran Service Commission is focused on supporting local veterans with representation before the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs, an emergency financial assistance program, and by providing transportation to VA medical appointments among various other programs and resources.
The Commission will identify a future date for an open house to invite the public and all members of the veteran community to visit the new office.
