Norma Lee Leady

Norma Lee Leady, 85, of Dunbridge passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green, OH on November 6, 2024. She was born on April 29, 1939 in Perrysburg Township, OH to the late Braxton and Frances (Snyder) Coger. She graduated in 1957 from Bowling Green High School, and later married the love of her life James Leady on November 23, 1957. They were married over 43 years, until Jim’s passing in August of 2000.

Norma worked as a cook for Truckstops of America retiring after 24 years. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dowling; she enjoyed reading and gardening. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Norma is survived by her children: Robin Leady of Dunbridge, Thomas Leady of Elmore, and David (Karla) Leady of Luckey. Brothers: Terry (Lou) Coger of Dowling, Craig (Robin) Coger of Bowling Green, 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and her favorite four-legged friend and companion Bear. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marilyn (Coger) Baker, son, Steven Leady and daughter-in-law, Kelly (Minarik) Leady.

Family and friends will be received 9:00-11:00 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 22552 Carter Road, Bowling Green/ Dowling, Ohio. Officiating will be, Pastor Bob Noble. Norma will be laid to rest next to Jim in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, following the service.
