The Bowling Green Exchange Club and Bowling Green High School have announced that Ava Peper is the February 2025 Student of the Month. Ava is a senior at Bowling Green High School and will graduate on May 25, 2025. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Aaron Peper.
Ava’s school honors and activities include membership in the National Honors Society and French Honors Society. Throughout high school, Ava has participated in cross country and track and is also in band and orchestra. In orchestra, she has received two superior ratings in solo and ensemble and was selected twice for the Northwest Regional Orchestra. In band, she has received six superior ratings for solo and ensemble, a three-time OMEA District Honors Band selection, and was a 2024 OMEA All-State Band member.
Outside of school, Ava is an accomplished figure skater. She has competed for 14 years and has earned her designation as US Figure Skating Gold Medalist. In 2018, she was the Marissa Rose Scholarship recipient. Ava also finds time to hold a part-time job working at the Sundae Station.
Ava currently has a 4.37 GPA and has a composite ACT score of 32. Following graduation, Ava plans to attend college to major in either mechanical or aerospace engineering. She is deciding between University of Michigan, Ohio State University, and Miami University. Ava plans to continue ice skating competitively on a collegiate team, as well as becoming a skating instructor. She also intends on joining a university band to continue playing the flute.
