Actors Collaborative Toledo (ACT) is holding auditions for the role of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. for a staged reading of Katori Hall’s play “The Mountaintop.”

Auditions will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 316 Adams St., Toledo, Monday, Dec 18 at 6:30 p.m. on. Auditioners will be asked to read from the script.

The production will be directed by ACT Board member, Rick Clever and will feature fellow ACT Board member, Natalie Bostelman in the role of Camae.

The production will be held at Trinity on Feb. 3  & 4.

The play is a gripping reimagination of the events the night before King’s assassination. On April 3, 1968, an exhausted Dr. King retires to his room at the Lorraine Motel while a storm rages outside. When a mysterious stranger arrives with some surprising news, King is forced to confront his destiny and his legacy to his people.
