Address labels to be put on trash and recycling containers

The Bowling Green Public Works Department has contracted with GIS Landmark to place address labels on all refuse and recycling containers that are picked up by the city. At this time, this work is occurring in Wards 1 & 2 only. Crews are in the process of finalizing the placement of the labels for several remaining addresses. Residents are asked to help in this effort by placing containers – full or empty – at the curb. Containers should be left at the curb until the labels have been placed.

Crews will be working Monday-Friday over the coming weeks to complete this project. In an effort to expedite this process, city employees, who will be wearing city supplied uniforms, may move your containers to the curb for you. Please leave the containers at the curb until the labels have been placed by the GIS Landmark team.

The address label is a black sticker with orange letters approximately 3 inches by 7 inches. Each sticker will associate a particular container with the address it is registered to. This work is being done to ensure a proper inventory of container locations. Questions about this work may be directed to the Public Works Department at 419-354-6227.
