Alice Marie Foltz, 88, of Deshler passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore.
Alice was born on September 5, 1930 to the late Park Henry and Eva Mae (Thomas) Walter. She married the love of her life Gerald “Dempsey” Foltz on September 24, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2017. Alice is survived by her children: Debra (Bill) Bennett of McComb, Robert (Pat) Foltz of Toledo and Judy Harden of Bowling Green; grandchildren Brian (Dana) Spitnale, Greg (Carey) Spitnale, Jessica and Jennifer Foltz and Michelle (Jon) Channer, step-grandchildren: Scott Bennett, Tracy (Curtis) Collins and Todd (Sandy) Bennett; great-grandchildren: Savanna, Jaylyn , Andrew “Dempsey” and Jackson Spitnale and Elly and Bo Channer; step-great grandchildren: Will, Paige, Gabe and Taylor Bennett, Austin, Peyton and Faith Collins and a brother Gerald Walter. She was preceded in death by her brothers Glen, Harold, Harry and George, sisters Luella and Laura Belle.
Alice loved to crochet, making doilies and wall hangings. She was an excellent baker. Her cinnamon rolls, bread and ice cream were loved by all who had them. Alice was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay. Family was a very important part of Alice’s life. Alice worked closely with her husband Dempsey in the fields and also treasured the times she spent with them and wouldn’t miss her great grandchildren’s activities.
Visitation for Alice will be on Tuesday April 2, 2019 from 4:00-7:00PM in the HARTLEY-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 370 Park Dr. South, McComb, Ohio 45858. Alice’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with her son Robert Foltz, officiating. Interment will follow in the McComb Union Cemetery.
