Anti-police graffiti scrawled on BGSU buildings

Graffiti was scrawled on five buildings on the Bowling Green State University campus today.

Alex Solis, university spokesperson, said it was unclear what the motivation behind the damage was, though some writing included #ACAB, or “all cops are bastards,” a possible expression of protest over the George Floyd killing in Minneapolis.

The buildings damaged were: University Hall, McFall Center, the Math Science Building, Overman Hall and the Life Science Building.

Solis said the incident is being investigated and final report is being prepared.

He issued the following statement from BGSU: “Bowling Green State University is aware of the graffiti on several facilities located on its Bowling Green campus. We are extremely disappointed that someone would damage these facilities, which have been funded by the taxpayers of Ohio. The University does not tolerate vandalism or destruction of property. These incidents have been reported to BGSU Police to investigate.”
