Arne Dickerson Bowles, 73, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away January 20, 2023. He was born February 3, 1949, in Bowling Green to the late Loren and Marian (Ball) Bowles. He was married to Diana Langley on July 7, 2007.
Arne was a barber for 53 years. He owned and operated Woodville Road Barber Shop in Northwood, Ohio. He was a lifetime member of the Elks. In his younger years he was an avid bowler. He enjoyed spending time fishing, camping, and playing cards. Arne was a devoted stamp collector. He knew all 635 episodes of Gunsmoke. Arne especially adored his puppies Pixie and Parker.
Along with his wife Diana, Arne is survived by his stepson Chad (Karen) Gambrell of Weston, Ohio, niece Tara Gust of Walbridge, Ohio, daughters Heidi Yarnell of Bowling Green, Ohio, Angela (Bob) Nichols of North Baltimore, Ohio, and grandchildren Tyger, Christian, Taylor, Brittney, Morgan, Haley, Cassidy, Dayton, Breanna, Seth, Gavin, nephew Tyeler, his many great-grandchildren and devoted lifetime friends Dick and Maxine Beaverson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Sandy Wagner Bowles and brother Craig Bowles.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday January 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
