Bowling Green Arts Council will present Artists 4 Animals 8, an animal-themed juried art show from Dec. 10 through Jan. 23 at the Beer Works Gallery, 322 N. Grove St. in Bowling Green.
A free opening reception for the public at the Beer Works Gallery will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10. Snacks will be provided by South Side 6, and beverages will be available for purchase. Entertainment will be provided by the Root Cellar String Band.
Works from artists of all ages will be featured in the show, with prizes awarded in age categories (K-4th Grade, 5-8 Grade, 9-12th Grade, and Adults), as well as for Best Domestic Animal and Best Wild Animal.
This year, there are 17 adult and high school artists exhibiting nearly 30 works of art, as well as 40 student works in a virtual exhibit.
The works of artist-winners will be featured on note cards for sale at the reception and at the Art Supply Depot in Bowling Green.
Artists 4 Animals 8 is sponsored by the Bowling Green Arts Council and The Copy Shop. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Wood County Humane Society.
