Wood County Community Health Center, in partnership with Children’s Resource Center, will hold a back-to-school immunization event, designed to ensure students are ready and protected for the upcoming school year.
The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 6, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Children’s Resource Center, 1045 Klotz Road, Bowling Green.
With the start of the new school year, this event aims to provide students with essential immunizations to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases and promote a healthy learning environment. Immunization services will be available to all school-age children.
Event details:
- Available immunizations: DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis), Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Polio, Varicella (Chickenpox), Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis), and Meningococcal.
- Accepted forms of payment: Cash, checks, debit and credit cards. Medicaid, along with most insurance plans, are welcomed, and a sliding fee discount is offered based on eligibility.
- Mobile Health Center: Wood County’s new Mobile Health Center will be on-site from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and open for tours. No appointment necessary to visit the Mobile Health Center. Free kids learning activities will also be provided.
- Appointments necessary: Appointments are required for the immunization event, which will take place inside Children’s Resource Center. Call Wood County Community Health Center at 419-354-9049 to schedule your child’s appointment.
A parent or guardian must be present at the appointment. Remember to bring insurance cards (if the child has insurance) and vaccination records.
