The Bowling Green Exchange Club and Bowling Green High School have announced that Benjamin Burton is the January 2024 Student of the Month. Ben is a senior at Bowling Green High School and will graduate on May 26, 2024. He is the son of Terry and Julie Burton.
Ben’s school honors and activities include membership in the National Honors Society and National French Honors Society. Ben is involved in high school French club where he has served as vice president and historian; Quiz Bowl where he has served as co-captain for two years and was awarded second team all-league; orchestra, and band. Ben has also received numerous awards through OFMC for piano.
Outside of school, Ben works at Studio Connections as a teachers assistant. Ben assists and teaches children to play songs and recognize rhythms. Ben has also worked for the Wood County Board of Elections as a poll worker.
Ben currently has a composite ACT score of 34 and a 4.27 grade point average. After high school, Ben will either attend Bowling Green State University, Central Michigan or Brown University to major in education.
