Bernard ‘Bud’ Marvin

Bernard “Bud” Raymond Marvin, 78, of North Baltimore, Ohio arrived in his heavenly home on February 8, 2017. Bernard was born August 12, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to Gerry Eugene and Mary Eulalia(Cunningham) Paskey Marvin.

Bernard known to everyone as “Bud” proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He went on to work at GTE, Green Meadows Apartment, Hankey Lumber and the United States Post Office. He loved life, and had many hobbies over the years including, fishing, woodworking, whitewater rafting as well as playing many rounds of golf at Tanglewood. Bud attended Holy Family Catholic Church in North Baltimore, Ohio.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his children: Tim (Lori) Marvin of Jackson, MI; Rick (Joyce) Cole of Atlanta, GA; Rose Marvin of Florence, KY; Ronald and Matt (Nicole) Marvin of Bowling Green, Oh; his 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Bud was reunited with his parents; brothers, Robert Marvin and Chuck Paskey; sister Pauline Smith; and granddaughter Janelle Cole.

The family invites you to join them in celebrating Bud’s life on Saturday February 11, 2017 from 8:00 AM until the time of his funeral service at 10:00 AM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Interment with Military honors’ will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in c/o the funeral home.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Bud’s doctors, nurses and all the staff at Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore. The family appreciates their loving care that made Bud’s transition home peaceful and comfortable. His loved one have no doubt that he entered Heaven healed and is enjoying many rounds of golf on the most beautiful greens. He will have the best views of his beloved Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns, even if later doesn’t’ have the best of seasons! We smile fondly at all our precious memories, knowing this isn’t “goodbye”, its just an “I’ll see you later.” Precious in the sight of the Lord is Death of his faithful servants” Psalm 116:15.
