BG Baseball clinches lead in sixth inning in victory over Northview

Bowling Green Varsity Bobcat Baseball Team stole the lead late and defeated Northview 5-3 on Monday.  The game was tied at two with Bowling Green batting in the top of the sixth when an error scored one run for the Bobcats.

Cam Deiter was the winning pitcher for Bowling Green. The righthander went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out five. Jimmy LaForce threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Zimmerman started the game for Northview. The hurler went five and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out two.  Bradford and Patnode entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

Nate Kress, LaForce, Luke Johnson, Brady Gaines, Brayden Clauson, and Ryan Jackson each collected one hit to lead Bowling Green.

Draper led Northview with two hits in three at bats.
