February 7-8th Bowling Green invites you to the Coolest Weekend of the Year during the 12th Annual Winterfest BG Chillabration full of winter themed free activities for everyone.
We will kick things off on Friday night with the Chocolate Crawl Fundraiser for the United Way with the new addition of an After Crawl in the heated Frozen Swamp Tent. The tent in located in the downtown on the corner of Clough and S. Main Streets. In the tent on Saturday the fest will host the Winter Market by day and will host live music, beer, wine by night.
New this year will be the Toledo Zoo winter themed activities adding to the kid’s options along with food and artisan venders for everyone. In the Ice Sculpture Garden on Saturday Ice Creations will hold live ice sculptures carving with an agricultural theme this year. T
he band line-up inside the tent this year include Derrick and Derrick and Amp Wagon on Friday and Ginger & the Snaps, Joe Baker Band, Corduroy Road and Nashville Crush on Saturday.
This two-day fun-filled community event also features the ever-popular Chili & Soup Cook-Off, Frostbite Fun Run & kid’s activities at City Park, Downtown the Window Youth Art Exhibition, Four Corners Gallery BGHS Art Exhibit and Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, WC Library’s I Love BG Scavenger Hunt and New Year Lantern Festival. The Slater Family Ice Arena at BGSU will be hosting a Frozen 5K to kick off SK8 to Eliminate Cancer Fundraiser, Falcon Hockey and Open Skating and The Black Swamp Curling Club will be hosting the Great Lakes Curling Bonspiels over the weekend.
Winterfest BG is a 501-C3 Non-Profit Organization run by an all-volunteer committee and partnering with the BG Convention & Visitors Bureau for staff support.
