BG Christian Academy students win Distracted Driving Teen Billboard Contest

Distracted Driving Billboard Contest winners

Sandy Wiechman from Safe Communities of Wood County, along with some law enforcement and other city representatives, recognized seven BG Christian Academy students, including two top winners, for their entries into this year’s Distracted Driving Teen Billboard Contest.

Two students, Autumn Williams and Chase Armentano, were selected for top designs. Other students who submitted winning entries are Cara Robinson, Greg Jakutowicz, Gretchen Miller, JJ Jakutowicz, and Rebekah O’Neal.

This was the second annual Distracted Driving Teen Billboard Contest for all Wood County high school-aged students. The contest was designed for students to reflect on and help promote the dangers of distracted driving in their community.

Billboard designs will be showcased during National Distracted Driving Month in April. Lamar Advertising has donated two roadside billboards, and the winning designs will be displayed during the month here in Bowling Green.

The top two students received a $250 Amazon gift card for their designs, and the top 10 runner-up submissions received a $25 Amazon gift card.
