Bowling Green City Schools has announced bus route changes for the coming week due to illnesses among bus drivers.
The weather forecast looks like a full week of classes starting Monday, Superintendent Francis Scruci said. However, busing continues to be an issue. Transportation Director Toby Snow has been spending long hours working on bus schedules and drivers have been willing to drive other routes than their own to prevent the same routes from being canceled, to create a sense of equity in the district’s transporting of students, Scruci said.
The following bus routes are canceled this week:
- Bus #4 and Bus #6 on Monday, Feb, 7, and Tuesday, Feb. 8.
- Bus #10 and Bus #16 on Wednesday, Feb. 9, and Thursday, Feb. 10.
Snow and the drivers are still working on bus schedules for Friday, Feb. 11. He is hoping to have this information on Monday and the district will share once that is finalized.
