BG contracts with service to inventory and map city utilities

The City of Bowling Green has contracted with GIS Landmark to conduct an inventory and locate the geographic position of city-owned utilities (electric, water and sewer).

Residents should be aware that GIS Landmark employees will be working around city equipment and should remain within the city right-of-way or easements. Those conducting the inventory will carry equipment that includes a large pole mounted antenna.

Work hours may, at times, exceed standard business hours with evening work concluding no later than 8 p.m. All employees carry photo
identification.

The purpose of this inventory is to maintain a database of all city-owned assets.
