BG Exchange Club names Ziegler as student of the month

Bowling Green High School senior Ashlee Ziegler has been recognized as the Exchange Club Student of the Month for November. She has been active during her high school years, combining excellent grades with a variety of extracurricular programs.

Ziegler ranks third in the senior class with a 4.514 grade point average and has been inducted into both the National Honor Society and the French Honor Society, where she is the current treasurer.

Her activities include singing with the Madrigals and serving as vice president of the choir. A member of the Drama Club, she has performed in the ensemble and chorus in all the spring musicals for the past three years. Earlier this fall she was in the cast of the Drama Club’s production of The Crucible.

Ziegler also has earned an excellent rating in the Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble competition. She is on the varsity competition cheer team, which finished second in the state earlier this year, as well cheerleading for football and basketball. She has also received several Scholar Athlete Awards. And like many BGHS students, she participates in 4-H with Leaders of Tomorrow club and is its current treasurer.

Ziegler plans to major in meteorology when she attends college next year and is considering Oklahoma, Ohio State and Penn State.
