Bowling Green Firefighters Local 2379 recently received an anniversary grant from the Maumee/BG Elks #1850, for the purchase of 88 carbon monoxide detectors.
The detectors are being purchased through Ace Hardware, Bowling Green. The store provided assistance that allowed for a larger number of detectors to be purchased.
A new law in Ohio requires carbon monoxide (CO) detectors in all homes. The detectors obtained through the grant will be available to homeowners who may not otherwise be able to comply with this new law.
The CO detectors can be picked up at the Bowling Green Fire Station at 552 E. Court St.
