A Bowling Green man accidentally shot himself in the leg on Friday evening.
On March 8, at approximately 10:24 pm, Bowling Green police officers were dispatched to 134 N. Grove St., for a male who accidentally shot himself in the leg. Officers arrived and located Zachary Kloeb sitting on the front porch of the residence.
Kloeb had a wound to the inner portion of his right thigh. Kloeb said he had his handgun tucked into the waistband of his pants while carrying items into the residence. Kloeb advised that he felt the handgun begin to fall and so he reached for it causing the handgun to discharge.
Kloeb was treated by the Bowling Green Fire Division and transported to the Wood County Hospital. Kloeb’s 40 caliber handgun was seized and he was charged with discharging a firearm within the city limits and released.
