Bowling Green Police arrested a man Sunday evening for domestic violence.
Antonio Escobar, 44, of Bowling Green, was taken to Wood County Jail after he reportedly beat up his brother in an apartment on Third Street.
When police officers arrived on the scene around 8:40 p.m., they reportedly found the apartment living room in disarray, with the coffee table broken into several pieces. The victim reportedly had a black eye, swollen face, blood on both ears and on his chest.
The victim told police that he does not have a phone, so he yelled for one of his neighbors to call police. The victim was taken to Wood County Hospital for his injuries.
Officers found Antonio Escobar in another apartment in the complex. He had no visible injuries, but his hands were red and swollen, according to the police report. He was taken to jail, where he reportedly became combative during the intake process. Several deputies were called to assist.
An officer went to the hospital to check on his brother, and help him with a domestic violence form. The officer then took his brother home.
