BG man arrested for domestic violence after victim sends snapchat message and confides in nurse

A Bowling Green man was arrested for domestic violence and aggravated menacing Wednesday after reportedly beating up his girlfriend at their home in the 300 block of East Napoleon Road.

BG Police were called to Wood County Hospital Emergency Department after Madani Diarra, 24, and his girlfriend came to the hospital. Diarra said the woman had fallen down and hurt her elbow.

A nurse told officers that the woman sent a snapchat to her mom saying that she needed help. When the woman went to the restroom at the hospital, she had a nurse go with her and showed her injuries all over her body.

The woman, who reportedly had injuries on her neck and face, told police that Diarra had punched her in the face and body, and grabbed her by the throat. The wounds on her body matched her story, the police report said.

The woman also told police that when Diarra stopped beating her, a child in the apartment came over and stomped on her, imitating Diarra.

Diarra also reportedly grabbed a steak knife, threatened to kill the woman, the child and then himself.

Diarra was taken to Wood County Jail.
