Bowling Green Police arrested a man early Saturday for reportedly exposing himself to a woman and trying to grab her.
This was the fourth similar complaint BGPD has taken in the same area since September.
Matthew Trumbull, 52, was charged with menacing and public indecency.
Police were dispatched around 1:37 a.m. to the 600 block of Manville Avenue for a naked man who exposed himself to a woman. The woman reported that she was walking on the sidewalk when a man stepped out of the bushes and made an obscene comment. He was reportedly holding his genitals with one hand and tried to grab her with the other.
She told police she ran south away from the house, and saw him enter the house. She described him as white, naked and heavy set.
Police drove the woman back to the location of the incident, and she pointed out the house in the 500 block of Manville Avenue. After dropping off the woman with a friend, police knocked on the door of the home.
Trumbull, dressed only in his shorts, opened the door. He denied being outside or scaring a woman.
Police drove the victim to Trumbull’s residence, and she told police she was 100% certain he was the man who exposed himself and tried to grab her.
Trumbull was taken to Wood County Jail.
Police have had three other calls about a white heavy set naked male in the area of this incident since Sept. 3. Officers were assigned to follow up with those victims for possible line-ups with suspects.
