BG man arrested for reportedly punching, choking and shooting BB gun at woman

A Bowling Green man was arrested for felony domestic violence Sunday after he allegedly punched, choked and shot a BB gun at a woman.

Christopher Rice, 31, was taken to Wood County Jail.

Bowling Green Police responded to an apartment in the 500 block of North Prospect Street, Sunday around 7 p.m., after someone other than the victim reported domestic violence incidents.

An officer noted that the woman had two black eyes and the right side of her face was very swollen. At the hospital, when the victim was asked to clean off her makeup, the police noted more bruising.

Also while at the hospital, it was determined the victim had bruised ribs from another incident.

An officer noticed marks from a BB gun on the woman, including on her thigh, where a BB was still embedded.

Officers talked with the victim about shelter services offered at the Cocoon. The Cocoon was contacted and would be reaching out to the woman, according to the police report.
