BG man charged after reportedly exposing himself in 2 stores

Bowling Green Police Division arrested a man for exposing himself in two stores on Tuesday afternoon.

Douglas Viola, 61, of Bowling Green, was charged with two counts of public indecency.

Police received the first call around 1:40 p.m. about a man in his 60s exposing himself in the Maurice’s store on South Main Street.

About a half hour later, police received a call from Walmart on South Main Street about a man exposing himself.

Viola reportedly walked up to two female employees at the Spectrum kiosk in Walmart, with his penis hanging out. He was wearing shorts with a button flap.

When police arrived at the store, Walmart employees reportedly had Viola cornered in the men’s apparel section.

“He acted as if nothing was wrong,” Police Major Justin White said this morning. “He refused to cover himself.”

Viola was taken to Wood County jail.
