A Bowling Green man was arrested for domestic violence for allegedly dragging his girlfriend around a parking lot, and assault for allegedly punching someone who tried to intervene.
Bowling Green Police were called to an apartment in the 400 block of Thurstin Avenue on Tuesday (March 5) around 1 p.m. When the first officer arrived, several witnesses in the parking lot pointed at a white Ford trying to leave the lot. Police stopped the vehicle, and a woman got out of the passenger seat and went to police. Driving was Nikita Griffin, 22.
Witnesses told police that Griffin and the woman had been arguing, then Griffin dragged her by the arm across the parking lot. A neighbor who heard the argument and saw the woman being dragged, intervened and told Griffin to leave. Griffin reportedly punched the man in the area of the left ear and jaw, leaving a large red mark.
Griffin was taken to Wood County Jail.
