BG man charged with assault and criminal mischief

A Bowling Green man has been charged with assault and criminal mischief for allegedly punching his former girlfriend. Bowling Green Police Division is looking for Matthew Domer, 24, of Third Street, on the charges.

Police received a call at 4:53 this morning, from a home in the 100 block of East Reed Avenue. The resident there told police that her former boyfriend used his key to enter her home, then held her down, grabbed her by the throat, and punched her.

According to the police report, the woman had swelling and redness on her forehead, scratches and redness on her neck, and a chipped tooth.

The suspect also allegedly flattened the rear tires of the victim’s car, then left the area before officers arrived.
