Flipster offers county library patrons access to 77 magazines

From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY

Do you love to read magazines, but dislike the mess of storing them?  Wood County’s eight independent libraries — collectively known as Woodlink — have come together to provide free magazines, and all you need is a library card for 24/7 access to these great resources.

The magazine service is called Flipster and provides something for readers of all ages and interests.  In all, Flipster offers readers a choice of 77 magazine titles, including several years of back issues.  “I really enjoy Flipster since it allows me to explore magazines on a lot of different topics,” said Michele Raine, Assistant Director at Wood County District Public Library.

Recently the Woodlink libraries (North Baltimore Public Library, Pemberville, Rossford, Way, Wayne, Weston, Wood County, and Kaubish Memorial) pooled resources to bring Wood County residents 24/7 access to this collection of popular magazines.

From People Weekly, Taste of Home, National Geographic for Kids to Mopar Muscle and Wired, the Flipster magazine collection allows you to browse interesting magazines any time you have access to the Internet. A complete list of magazines is provided below.

This collection is larger than any one library could afford. All of this content is free to anyone with a library card from any Woodlink library.

All of the Flipster magazines may be read on a mobile device using either a web browser and a 3G or 4G connection, or use the free iOS or Android apps to download content to your tablet. Also enjoy a large screen experience by accessing magazines directly from a library’s website.

All content may be printed from a computer, a great way to save recipes or craft ideas.
