A Bowling Green man was arrested Thursday (7/11/24) for domestic violence after allegedly strangling a woman in an apartment in the 800 block of Eighth Street.
Christopher Braden, 32, was taken to Wood County Jail.
A neighbor of the alleged assault called Bowling Green Police around 7:40 p.m., after hearing a woman yelling for help. When police arrived, the neighbor pointed out where the calls for help had been coming from.
According to the police report, the alleged victim was initially too scared to talk to police. Police noted what appeared to be strangulation marks around the woman’s neck, household items thrown around each room and broken glass on the floor.
Meanwhile another officer pulled over Braden on South Main Street. An officer requested that the booking officer at the jail contact the woman prior to Braden’s release from jail.
