A Bowling Green man was issued a criminal citation for assault on Tuesday (June 10) after he allegedly pushed a rollerblader to the ground in City Park.
BGPD was called to the park around 6:12 p.m., after a man rollerblading on the asphalt drive around the park was reportedly being followed by a vehicle with the motorist yelling out the window at him because he wasn’t using the bike/pedestrian path around the park.
The man, Drake Johnson, 30, exited the vehicle and came toward the rollerblader, who reportedly put his hands in front of his body because he was having difficulty coming to a stop. The rollerblader and witnesses at the baseball field reported to police that Johnson pushed the rollerblader to the ground.
