Bowling Green Police Division made seven drunk driving arrests over the weekend, including one incident in which a reportedly intoxicated motorist struck two bicyclists.
Anthony Perez, 51, of Bowling Green, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content of 0.154.
According to the police report, Perez was westbound in the 500 block of West Poe Road, Friday around 11:49 p.m., when he struck two bicyclists. One of the bicycles had lights, and the operator of the bike without lights was cited. Both cyclists had suspected minor injuries.
Perez reportedly smelled of a strong odor of alcohol, and he had difficulty performing the field sobriety tests. His driver’s license was confiscated and he was taken to Wood County Jail.
