A Bowling Green resident was reportedly scammed out of Taylor Swift concert tickets this week.

The man reported to BG Police Division that he contacted “Jim Fakeman” who was selling three Taylor Swift concert tickets through Facebook on Monday.

The BG man told police he had two concert tickets that he had bought for $75 each. He and “Fakeman” agreed that “Fakeman” would trade the three tickets he had for the two tickets plus an additional $150 from the Bowling Green man.

The local man transferred the tickets to “Fakeman” via Ticketmaster and the cash via Cash App. After that, “Fakeman” reportedly did not transfer his tickets and stopped communicating with the BG man.

BG Police Division will attempt to subpoena Facebook, Cash App and Google for account information on the suspect.
