One Bowling Green man is in the hospital, and another in jail after a stabbing early this morning.
Bowling Green Police Division received a 911 call around 4 a.m. from someone who heard a man screaming that he had been stabbed in Lot 1, the city parking lot behind the east side of the first block of North Main Street.
The victim was found with multiple stab wounds, and was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, according to Bowling Green Police Lt. Dan Mancuso.
The suspect in the stabbing, Kyle Bridget, 21, of 1082 Fairview Ave., was taken to Wood County Hospital, where he was treated for some facial injuries. He is being held in the county jail, facing one charge of felonious assault, Mancuso said.
Bridget has a criminal history of citations for assaults, trespassing, and theft, according to Mancuso. The victim and Bridget reportedly knew each other, Mancuso said.
The Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation was called in to process the crime scene this morning.
