The Bowling Green Ministerial Association and the combined churches of BG will again present the Lenten Lunch Series, this year entitled “Tools for the Journey (toward Easter.)”
On March 13, “The Practice of Prayer and Fasting” will be presented at First United Methodist Church, 1526 E. Wooster St. Larry Thurgood is a retired dean and a missionary and attends the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
All luncheons are held Wednesdays from noon to 12:55 p.m. Each week they will be at a different church. The simple, no cost lunch, will be prepared by the people of First United Methodist Church and served in their fellowship hall this week.
The events are open to everyone, with no reservation required. A free-will offering will be taken. This is an opportunity for people from BG’s diverse churches and community to gather in unity, prayer, song and discussion and get to know each other over lunch.
