The 24th Annual Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Foundation Wine & Cheese Social and Auction, one of the community’s most popular fall events, will be held Sept. 27 at the Simpson Building, 1291 Conneaut Ave., from 5:30-8 p.m.
Local celebrity Jerry Anderson will again be guest auctioneer for the fundraiser. There will be both a live and silent auction, and a raffle.
Proceeds this year have been designated to go to a new shelter house in Carter Park.
Wine and a specially brewed beer, Parks & Rec Red, by BG Beer Works will be served as well as heavy appetizers and desserts.
Tickets are $60 each and can be purchased at the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office in the Simpson Building or at the door that evening. For questions or more information please call 419-354-6297.
