The Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Foundation has announced its annual fundraiser, the Party for the Parks, formerly the Wine and Cheese Social and Auction, will be held on Sept. 22, from 5-8 p.m., at the Veterans Memorial Building in City Park.
The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Foundation exists to support the programs and activities of the Parks and Recreation Department in Bowling Green. This year the proceeds from the event will benefit several projects at City Park.
This year’s event will feature catering by Juniper Brewing Company and 7th Heaven Creations Bakery, as well as wine and craft beer from all four Bowling Green microbreweries.
There will be a raffle for a Becky McOmber handcrafted purse or patio heater along with a silent auction. Also featured at the event will be the presentation of the annual Spirit of the Foundation Award given to a person or entity who goes above and beyond to support the BG Parks & Recreation Department.
