One employee at A-Gas Rem Tec in Bowling Green was injured this morning when an industrial fire extinguisher blew up while it was being filled, according to Bowling Green Fire Chief Bill Moorman.
The fire department was called around 8:30 Friday morning to the company, located at 1100 Haskins Road. The fire extinguisher, which is at least five-feet tall, landed on an employee after it exploded during filling.
The employee was taken to St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
The compressed cylinder also caused damage to the plant’s ceiling, which Moorman estimated to be 30-feet high.
