A manufacturing plant on East Gypsy Lane Road had to close and evacuate employees on Friday around 11:34 p.m., after a terminated employee threatened to come to the company and end his life.
Michael Allen, 39, of Bowling Green, was reportedly found in the shipping office trying to stab himself in the chest with plastic snips. A Bowling Green ambulance transported Allen to Wood County Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
He was cleared at the hospital and was charged with criminal trespassing and inducing panic. Police advised staff at Wood County Jail that Allen would need a mental health evaluation when he sobered up.
