BG Police arrest allegedly intoxicated man found walking in roundabout after fight with family member

A Bowling Green man, reportedly intoxicated and found walking in a roundabout on Saturday (May 4) around 1:45 a.m., was arrested for domestic violence and disorderly conduct.

Bowling Green Police arrived at a hotel in the 2100 block of East Wooster Street for the report of a fight, and found a watch, eye glass case and other items by the front door of the hotel. Inside was a man with cuts and blood on his face, abrasions on his arm, cuts on his hands, and bloodied and ripped clothing.

The man said Mitchell Loome, 27, of Bowling Green, drove from Toledo to the hotel, at times going 100 mph. The man, a family member of Loome’s, said he kept telling Loome to slow down. When they arrived at the hotel, Loome reportedly started attacking the family member.

Police found Loome, also with injuries, walking in the roundabout at the Interstate 75 overpass. He was reportedly highly intoxicated, confrontational with officers and tried to spit on at least one first responder.

He was taken to Wood County Hospital, then to Wood County Jail.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, another family member, Shannon Loome, 47, of Kirkland, Illinois, was found unconscious in the hallway of the hotel’s third floor. She had reportedly vomited, urinated, was extremely confused, and refused to cooperate with EMS.

Shannon Loome was cited for disorderly conduct, being so intoxicated she could not care for herself, and taken to Wood County Jail.
