Bowling Green Police responded to an alleged road rage incident on Saturday around 1 p.m., on South Main Street.
A motorist called police to report that a Jeep pulled up next to him at a stoplight, rolled down his window, yelled curses at the driver, made a gun with his fingers, then reportedly told the driver he had something in his car for him.
Police located the Jeep in the 400 block of South Enterprise Street, and arrested the driver, Christopher Warner, 61, Findlay, for two counts of aggravated menacing, two counts of lacking physical control of his motor vehicle, having an open container of beer in his vehicle, and improper handling of a firearm. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
Warner reportedly admitted to the incident on South Main Street, saying he was upset because he thought the driver didn’t make a complete stop at the stop sign when exiting U.S. 6.
Police reported a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and found four empty beer cans in the Jeep, and another partially consumed beer in the door pocket. Also in the vehicle was a loaded six-shot revolver and a Ziploc bag containing 24 bullets. A breath test reportedly showed Warner had a BAC of 0.122.
