BG police arrest Haskins man for burglary and theft

Bowling Green Police arrested Austyn Johnathan Curley, 18, of Haskins, on Monday for burglary and theft.

A Bowling Green man reported to police that his cell phone, charger and house key had been taken while he was spending the night at a friend’s home in the 200 block of East Poe Road. When he woke up to find them gone, the man said he used another friend’s phone to call his own cell phone.

Curley reportedly answered the phone and told the Bowling Green man that he was in his home on South College Avenue.

When the BG man got to his home to get his phone and key back, the door was locked and no one answered.

Police were able to reach Curley by phone and set up a time to meet him. Curley was charged and taken to the Wood County jail.
